Sapwood/Heartwood Walnut Long Serving Board
Our 8”x22” serving boards are perfect for creating beautiful charcuterie boards or serving bread at the family dinner. This long serving board is made entirely of walnut, but plays with the contrast in wood grain at different parts of the tree. The lighter stripes are called the sapwood, the part of the tree just beneath the bark, and the darker parts are what we mainly think of when picturing walnut, the heartwood, the bulk of the tree.
Measurements may not be exact, but are within an inch of stated size. All of our boards are fine-sanded and coated with a food grade mineral oil/beeswax finish. We recommend applying mineral oil monthly to extend their life and maintain their natural beauty.
